So we moved . . .

Sunday, May 29, 2016

So the last couple of months have been a little bit busy which may go some way to explaining the 2 month exodus on blogs. We are however now on half term having successfully made it through one of the busiest terms of the year combining the epic amounts of coursework marking with selling the house and moving. Who needs sleep anyway?

Moviing was hard work with lots of trips up to Leeds throughout April to flat pack the furniture ready for the move. The house sold relatively quickly which was great but also pushed us into a flat hunt to find something unfurnished. In addition to packing up the Leeds house we had to pack up the London flat to prepare for the move. So what do you do when half way through packing you come across the nerf guns that have been tucked away in a drawer - that's right impromptu battle royale!

After many hours wasted we did manage to get the move all sorted and now are almost, save a few boxes, totally unpacked and moved into the new flat - happy days!

The house sale is almost finalised and now we get to enjoy a week off once again all is good with the world.

Londons Calling

Wednesday, August 15, 2007

I'm really getting pretty bad at updating this now we've got back! It must be this busy lifestyle I'm living! We are at this moment back in a hostel - this time in London on a flat hunting expedition. We've seen a fiar few places so far but the final decision is still evasive! Theres a couple of places we're interested in so far but the question is do we choose the really nice or fall for the mildly cheap!?

I think the cheap has the edge for me (predictably some might say) but I think the nicer one currently has the edge with Dani. We shall have to have a second look - and probably by the time we reach a decision the one we want may have gone :-S - I do hate this flat hunting business! It's Dani's birthday on Friday and we're going to the zoo which should be very exiting - I can't wait to see the elephants (my favourite). Other than that there isn't a terrible amount of news, we had a holiday in Swansea a little over a week ago, which was pretty cool - lots of sunshine and some excitement with an air ambulance (which blew a couple of tents away).

Right I better get back to looking on gumtree, checking email and hitting a few more estate agents (not literally). Congratulations to anyone reading this, I think I may have lost my readership since stopping the email updates. See you all soon!

Cheerio ta ta

We are moving . .

Monday, August 14, 2006

Wow, its been ages since my last post, although I'm sure that no-one has missed out given that I'm probably the only person visiting this site at the moment. There has been no new progress and no new pictures for the last couple of weeks as I've been a bit busy.

Dani and I have found a pretty nice flat and are due to move in together at the end of the month for the first time :-). We spent about a week looking for somewhere and that was more than enough. The flat seems fantastic though, very new and a nice location. I also found time out this month to get a new job, the company seemed great but I've decided to give it a miss.

This is only a short one again, but will try not to leave it another two weeks!
