Had a walk down to Pinner Memorial Park today to see the ducklings. We think there was about 20. Some were slightly older and braver, and were zipping around all over the pond, whilst a smaller group were still pretty close to mummy duck. I've added a couple of pictures below.

The weather has certainly been on show this bank holiday weekend, with soaring temperatures, blue skies and sunshine all weekend. We've tried to make the most of it with a day out at National Trust Cliveden on Saturday, and then some time tidying the garden over the last couple of days. Cliveden was looking lovely in the sunshine and has had its shiny gold guilded gates along the south terrace fitted since our last visit. We had a nice wander about in the sunshine, both catching the sun a bit and looking a little red by the time the evening came around.

Yesterday we went to B&Q to get a few new bits for the garden. We bought some new pots and a couple of really nice Acers which we've added to the border. We generally gave the border a tidy and cut the grass which has shot up a bit over the last few weeks. The border is looking a lot neater, the grass on the other hand isn't in quite such a good state having become quite mossy and developed a few bare patches, we've got some stuff to treat it, so hopefully we'll see some improvement. We bought a few more bits today including a water butt which I've installed at the back of the house and a shiny metal watering can. Finally we've had a BBQ for tea, the third BBQ this bank holiday #winning!

Sadly development has come to a bit of a stand still as coursework deadlines and exam time has arrived. After a few long evenings the first GCSE coursework marks and sample have been sent and by the end of this week so will the rest. Having not logged in for quite a while I just logged on to my google analytics account to have a look if anyone else out there had stumbled across mybigadventures. I was some what suprised to find that quite a lot more visitors have joined us from all over the world - so welcome one and all. 

For all those of you that have not come across it before, I highly recommend google analytics for getting a picture of how your visitors are interacting with your site, it makes some interesting reading and can give some ideas of where you could improve. You can also sign up for a google webmaster account which gives you some tips with getting your site indexed on google. Both great tools and pretty straight forward to set up. I've added the links so please click through to find out more - but when you're done remember to come back and have a look at some of the archives.

For all visitors new and old, I recommend looking at the achives from 2007 April-July when Dani and I took our trip around Europe (It was the reason this site was first created and still remains the bulk of the content, although hopefully that will change).
